Andy was a gem! He was brilliant, kind, and talented! He worked with me at the Springfield YMCA's community rowing program ; and kept it going strong for more than 15 years! He will be remembered forever as he touched so many lives. My sincere condolences are sent to Andy's family and friends.

Kim, I am so sorry for your loss. What an amazing man! After reading Andy's story in the paper I was thinking he couldn't possibly have been 50 years old. He lived life so fully and did so many incredible, inspiring things! My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.

I knew Andy through the Springfield Chapter of IEEE. My husband Ken Harstine and I enjoyed many IEEE dinner meetings with Andy, who was always cheerful. He was a helpful volunteer in that group, and will be sorely missed. Condolences to Kim and to his family and close friends.

I only had an opportunity to meet and work with Andy on a professional level for a couple of days. His smile and enthusiasm were always remembered. He has left an eternal impression on so many lives. Andy was one lucky guy to have you, Kim.

I am so sorry for your loss. It only seems like yesterday when we spent time together playing Dungeons and Dragons back in High School. I remember the many sleepovers that we had together with Andy, Rich and myself. We lost touch after we left high school and I had always wondered where Andy and Rich were and what they were doing. Pam and I have you in our thoughts and prayers. Andy was a special person in my life. We shared an enthusiasm for life and what it had to offer. You did him justice in the obituary. Andy and I worked together for many years and I loved it. He taught me so much and was such a great guy. Even though we haven't talked to each other in years, my heart sunk when I heard the news. He was such a positive influence for me and I'm sure for many others. I am so sorry for your loss.
