TRUDY CARROLL (CARROLL) ADAMS

HOLYOKE-Trudy Adams, 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Westfield Gardens in Westfield, MA.

Trudy was born on May 22, 1928, in Holyoke, MA to Samuel Carroll and Edith (Canady) Carroll. 

Trudy was a passionate caregiver.  She had worked for many years providing visiting nurse services to her many patients in Connecticut.  Trudy enjoyed knitting and gifting hats to patients at the Holyoke Cancer Center.  Her giving continued through her generous blood donations.  Trudy has been a long time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Holyoke, MA.

Trudy was an active member of the Holyoke YMCA.  She enjoyed training and showing Doberman, riding horses, and exploring flea markets.

Trudy is predeceased by her parents, her husband Edward Adams, her brothers George Carroll and John Carroll, and her sister Ruth Gaskill, Ethel Shugrue, and Martha Carroll.

Survivors include her daughters Star Beenan and her husband Bob of East Hartland, CT, Louise Lang and her husband Richard of Vero Beach, FL, and Mary Root and her husband Gene Gower of East Hartland, CT, her son Timothy Rood and his wife Patty of Florida, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends.

A private burial will be held at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Ware, MA.
