WESTFIELD-Mr. Robert Everett Robbins, 82, passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Governor’s Center in Westfield, MA. Robert was born on August 3, 1935, in Ludlow, MA and had worked as a security guard for the Connecticut Correctional Facility for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 3 years. As a young man, Robert enjoyed boat racing. In his spare time, you would find him enjoying time with friends at Mrs. Murphy’s Donuts or at the Good Table in Westfield. Robert was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. Predeceased by his parents and his son-in-law Michael Hibert, he leaves his daughters Beth Hibert of Southwick, MA and Pamela Dean of Westfield, MA, his granddaughter Shaina Hibert, his grandsons: Nicolas Hibert, Joshua Robbins, Gregory Dean and Nathaniel Dean, along with many other family members and friends. A private committal service will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA.
