Richard G. Podlenski

MONTAGUE-Mr. Richard G. Podlenski, 84, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield, MA.  Born on April 01, 1932 in Greenfield, MA, Richard and his family owned and operated the Podlenski Family Farm in Montague, MA.  He had also worked as an Electrical Engineer at AT&T for many years.  A US Navy veteran of 30 years, he proudly served his country during the Korean War.  Mr. Podlenski enjoyed farming, old cars and all animals.  He was a member of the Free Mason Harmony Lodge, Grotto and the Greenfield Elks.  Predeceased by his parents, a brother and a sister, he leaves his wife, Milcia Podlenski of Montague, his son, Richard Podlenski of Montague, his brothers, Stanley John Podlenski of MA and Fredrick (Penny) Podlenski of IL.  A private celebration of Richard’s life will be held.  Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Hwy., Southwick, MA has been entrusted with the arrangements.  Please visit Richard’s memorial page at www.avaloncelebrations.com
