Patricia Celeste (Pinto) DeGray

SOUTHWICK - Patricia C. DeGray, 68, passed away at her home in Southwick, MA on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

Patti was born on July 23, 1951, in Hartford, CT to Michael Joseph Pinto and Celeste (Verdone) Pinto.

She obtained her G.E.D. in 1985, and later continued her education at Westfield State University, earning a degree in Drug and Alcohol Behavioral Science.  This degree played a monumental role in her 27 years of sobriety and the many AA members she sponsored throughout her journey.

With the spirit of a caregiver, she enjoyed her positions in the fields of home health aid, counseling, and elder care, among others.  She most recently worked with Loving Care Agency of Springfield, MA.

Patti enjoyed traveling, reading, attending hockey games, spending time at the beach, going to concerts with her family and friends, but most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.  She was at her best when she was with family.

Patti is predeceased by her parents Michael and Celeste Pinto, her sister Mary Louise Pinto, and her first husband Clifford Navaroli.  She leaves her sons Joel Navaroli of Agawam, MA and Zakery DeGray (Stephanie Cummings) of Beecher Falls, VT; her beloved grandchildren Christian and Noah DeGray and Jillian Cummings; her close friends Debra Lee and Annie Orlandi; and many cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 11 AM – 1 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC, 691 College Highway, Southwick, MA 01077.  In Patti’s honor, please come in casual dress.  A celebration luncheon will follow at Tucker’s Restaurant, 625 College Highway, Southwick, MA 01077.  To express condolences to the family or to share photos or memories, please visit Patti’s memorial page at www.avaloncelebrations.com.
