PAUL STEPHEN METTEY

Paul S. Mettey, 69, passed away on June 18, 2023, at Heritage Hall South in Agawam, MA  after a long battle with diabetes. 

Paul was born in Holyoke, MA on September 8, 1953, to the late Lionel J. Mettey, Sr and Lucielle Mettey (Mercier)

Paul had worked at the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Springfield, MA for 20 years, where he was a member of the Tryke Unit.  Paul finished his working career at Smith & Wesson. 

Paul held a deep passion for motorcycles, especially his Harley.  He enjoyed sports and was an avid Bruins fan. 

Paul leaves his daughter, Jennifer Bosshart and her husband John of Alabama, his brothers, John Mettey and his wife Mary of Chicopee, MA, Lionel Mettey, Jr and his wife Laurie of Holyoke, MA, and Michael Mettey and his husband Michael Palatino of Yarmouth, MA, his grandchildren Ava Grace and Jakob, all his friends in the riding community, along with many other family members and friends. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22216

All services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
