Marilyn raised her family in North Merrick and Glen Cove, New York. While living in North Merrick, she was a member and active volunteer at Sacred Heart Church where she worked alongside many lifelong friends. After raising her children, Marilyn returned to nursing, caring for patients in a hypertension clinic where, ahead of her time, she understood the need to not only treat a diagnosis but to care for the whole person. Marilyn was a passionate and creative chef and enjoyed entertaining family and friends for holidays, or any day. She used her passion for cooking to shower those around her with love, celebrate life and comfort family and friends. Her home was a place where everyone was welcome, all were loved and no one was ever judged. She treasured her time with her ever-growing family and the memories of spending summers with her grandchildren at Jodi Court, attending their performances, and celebrating their milestones. Marilyn will be remembered for her always smiling Irish eyes, her infinite patience, her capacity for unconditional love and kindness and her generosity of spirit.
