Marie Angela (Spinella) Spinella

WEST SPRINGFIELD/HOLYOKE-Marie Angela Spinella, 67, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Mount Saint Vincent Care Center in Holyoke, MA. 

Marie was born on August 22, 1951, in Oneida, NY to Angelo and Frances (Massago) Spinella. 

Marie was a passionate and dedicated teacher for over 40 years.  Her life was committed to being a positive influence on her students in early childhood development and grammar school. She harbored a love for her students and was deeply invested in their lives and education.  She had worked at Springfield Christian School in Springfield, MA and  Bethel Day Care in Bloomfield, CT.

She attended Westfield Evangelical Free Church in Westfield, MA. 

Marie is predeceased by her parents Angelo and Frances Spinella and her sister Karen Loftus.  She leaves her sisters Patricia Miller (Scott) of Rome, NY and Rosalie Clark of Marcy, NY, her brother-in-law Richard Loftus of MA, her nieces and nephews: Kelly Anderson (Bill) of Suffield, CT, Cory Loftus (Jodi) of Boston, MA, Jason Loftus (Kristin) of Feeding Hills, MA, Steven Miller of NY, Michael Miller of NY, David Miller (Krista) of GA, John Charles (Andrea) of TX, Jeremy Charles (Jessica) of NY, Jamie Charles (Deanna) of NY, Stacey Charles of NY, and her great-nieces Madelyn and Katie Anderson whom she thought of and cared for as her own grandchildren as she stepped into that role after the passing of their own grandmother, along with her many friends. 

A memorial service for Maire will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Westfield Evangelical Church, 568 Southampton Road, Westfield, MA 01085. A private burial will be held in the family plot in upstate New York at a later date.
