Margaret D. (Huard) Dumais

WESTFIELD-Margaret D. Dumais, 83, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.

Margaret was born on May 8, 1935, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Joseph and Charlotte (Bennett) Huard.

She will be remembered for her loving and kind soul. She enjoyed learning the scriptures of the Holy Bible and working in ministry at Lighthouse Christian Church in Agawam, Massachusetts, where she was a member. Margaret completed ministry training in 2005 at Full Gospel Bible Institute receiving a Graduate of Theology Degree. She worked at Digital Equipment in Westfield, MA for many years until its closing. She retired in May of 2000 from Governors America Corp. Margaret was a devoted mother to 7 daughters, an accomplishment she was very proud of. Her love for people and life was a characteristic that shined brightly in her devotion to family, friends and ministry. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and gardening. She also enjoyed square dancing and circle dancing.

Margaret is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Charlotte Huard and her sister Helen Huard Langan.

She leaves her 7 daughters: Marie-Anne Buffam and her husband Jerry of Westfield, MA, Joyce Corey and her husband Wayne of West Springfield, MA, Doris Chrzanowski and her husband Tom of Agawam, MA, Linda Peart and her husband Allan of Southampton, MA, Catherine Fattorini and her husband Peter of Westfield, MA, Lorraine Lowinski of Westfield, MA, and Nancy Mallard and her husband Lenny of Leominster, MA; her brother Raymond Huard of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, her sisters Cheryl Schepp and her husband Henry of Terrace, British Columbia, Canada, and Wanda Hibbs and her husband Gordon of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
