MURIEL (DICKINSON) LESLIE

SPRINGFIELD – Muriel Dickinson Leslie, 91, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at her home in Springfield, MA.

Muriel was born on September 13, 1928, Westfield, MA to Joseph L. Dickinson and Edith (Anderson) Dickinson. 

Muriel graduated from Westfield High School and had worked for many years at Westfield Co-operative Bank. 

Muriel was a 49-year member of the Daughters of the Nile and had served as the Supreme Queen.  Muriel was also a long time member of the Granville Federated Church.

Muriel enjoyed playing the piano and Latch Hook in her spare time.

She is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Edith Dickinson, her husband Robert Matthew Leslie, her daughter Donna Shaw, and her brother Glen Dickinson and his wife Elaine. 

Survivors include her son William Blakesley and his wife Linda of Granville, MA, her daughter Bonnie King of Granville, MA, her grandchildren: Jeannie Pinney and her husband Jay of Pepperell MA, Daniel Blakesley of Agawam MA, Darcy Clifford of Sandisfield MA, Laurie Ritchie and her partner Tim Weise of Wallingford CT, Kathryn Wilkinson and her husband Christian of Russell MA,  Julie Clifford of Granville MA, Richard King of Granville MA, and Tiffany Cayo of Westfield MA, her caregiver and personal friend Lisa Sheehan, along with many great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, other family members, and close friends.

Muriel’s family will hold a private service.  A private burial will take place at Silver Street Cemetery in Granville, MA where Muriel will be laid to rest alongside her late husband.
