Lucille M. (Moore) Johnson

SOUTHWICK, MA –  Lucille M. Johnson, 79, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA. 

Lucille was born on July 24, 1939, in Westfield, MA to the late Arlon and Evelyn (McGrath) Moore. 

Lucille was an exceptional baker.  Her amazing cheesecake and apple pie recipes have now been handed down to the next generations to savor.  Lucille always has a fresh pot of coffee available for anyone who wished to join her and her family in enjoying her sweet treats.  She loved her animals and enjoyed crocheting.  Lucille and her husband enjoyed many fun-filled trips to their condo in Florida.  She was a familiar face at Millie’s Country Store in Southwick, MA where she enjoyed spending time with her friends of the “Breakfast Club”.

Lucille is predeceased by her parents, her husband Edward C. Johnson, Sr., her sons Edward C. Johnson, Jr. and Matthew Johnson, and 5 brothers.  She is survived by her daughter Lynn Cotugno and her husband Michael of Springfield, MA, her grandchildren Melissa Wescott and Kerri Wescott, her great-grandchildren Mason Abelin and Ari Abelin, her best friend of 72 years Ruth of Florida, along with many other friends and family members.
