Judith Anne (Egan) Egan

WESTFIELD-Judith Anne Egan, 81, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield, MA.  Judith was born on June 6, 1936, in Westfield, MA to Edward B. and Mary A. (Collier) Egan.  Judith was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Judith had worked as a nurse’s aide for many years, spending most of her career caring for the elderly, for whom she loved so much.  She was very caring and thoughtful, and through her actions and words, she could always invoke laughter and fun.  She had a great love for animals, and in her latter years her constant companion and self admittingly her best friend was Lillie, her pug.  Her faith in God was strong and now she has joined her God in Heaven.  She will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all the lives that she touched. Judith was predeceased by her parents Edward and Mary Egan, her sister Mary Jane Robert, and her brother-in-law William Robert.  She leaves her daughters Lisa Woodburn and her husband William of Muscatine, Iowa and Susan Bills of San Diego, CA, her son David Melnyck of Feeding Hills, MA, her grandchildren: Steven McCullough, Jovan Bills, Kelly Melnyck, and Mark Melnyck, her greatgrandchildren Kelly and Cody McCullough, along with many other family members and friends.  Judith’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Michele Wright, Judith’s loving niece,  for her care and compassion extended to Judith during her final days.  A private burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield, MA.  In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, P.O.
