SPRINGFIELD – Jorden Lamon Williams earned his angel wings at the tender age of 12 after a treacherous battle with Sickle Cell Anemia.
Jorden was born on October 31, 2007 in Springfield, MA to Hakeem B. Williams and Kimberly N. Barnes.
Jorden was in the 7th grade at South End Middle School in Springfield, MA.
Jorden was a burst of energy, his laughs could fill a room. Jorden had a tender caring soul and a heart full of love.
He was a Spider Man fanatic and aspired to be a video game editor. His videos on social media were a sure sign of his future success.
When Jorden was not filling his time gaming, he enjoyed playing basketball at the neighborhood court, listening to and making his own music, and playing with his remote control cars.
Jorden is predeceased by his father Hakeem Williams and his paternal grandmother Bernice Williams.
Jorden is survived by his mother Kimberly N. Barnes, his brother Thedrick Owens, and his sister Yanajah Barnes all of Springfield, MA. Additional survivors include his maternal grandmother Deborah Burke-Ball and her husband Paul of Springfield, MA, his aunts Sheila Barnes of Hartford, CT and Lisa Barnes of Springfield, MA, along with many cousins, other family members, and friends.
Family and friends will celebrate Jorden’s life on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. The viewing will be held at Fresh Anointing Ministries COGIC, 961 St. James Ave, Springfield, MA 01104 from 10:30 AM – 12 NOON. Bishop Jonathan Ramsey, Jr will officiate the Home Going Service at 12 NOON. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay St, Springfield, MA 01109.
The family will have a private repast.
