John Joseph Bracci

WEST SPRINGFIELD-John Bracci, age 76, of West Springfield passed away December 29, 2017 at the Wingate Nursing Home, West Springfield. John was born May 21, 1941 to Attilio and Alice (Fraczek) Bracci in Springfield and lived most of his life in West Springfield.  He graduated from West Springfield High School in 1959, and went to work at Sullivan Paper Co. of West Springfield, where he worked until his retirement in 2003. He served 6 years in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1966. In his leisure time John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in his later years, gardening and his beloved cats. A lifelong passion was rooting for the Red Sox, and when they finally won the World Series it was one of his happiest moments. He leaves his daughter Mary (Bracci) Ragan and her husband Robert of La Crosse, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Malcolm, Frederick, and Alice Ragan all of La Crosse; a brother, Robert Bracci and his wife Lorraine, of Lake Placid, Florida, and two nephews.
