Jason L. Massoni

SOUTHWICK-Jason L. Massoni, 41, passed away on Thursday, August 04, 2016 at Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield, MA.  Jason was born on December 17, 1974 in Springfield, MA.  He attended Southwick Public Schools and had worked in the construction industry for many years, most recently at DELREO Home Improvement.  Jason’s mom, Kathy, fondly remembers her son as having the sweetest heart from the day he was born.  Family and friends describe Jason as a sweet, gentle soul with a kind heart always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  Even when Jason was on crutches due to a recent knee injury, that didn’t stop him from getting out and helping neighbors shovel their driveway during snow storms or helping his mom fix her car.  In his spare time Jason enjoyed biking, fishing, working on cars, watching NASCAR, playing with animals, and attending Hannah’s softball games. When football season rolled around, he enjoyed watching the Raiders.  Jason leaves his girlfriend and partner of 17 years, Tina Cook of Southwick, MA, his precious daughter, Hannah Massoni  of Southwick, MA, his mother, Kathy Massoni-Fuss and her husband Fred Fuss of Granby, CT, his father, David Massoni of  Southwick, MA, his brother, Justin Massoni of Southwick, MA, sister Laurie Massoni of Southwick, MA, nieces, Brie-Anna Massoni and Rylee Madrid, his nephew, Anthony Massoni and countless other extended family members and many friends.  Jason’s life will be celebrated at 6pm on August 15, 2016 at Southwick Congregational Church, 488 College Hwy., Southwick, MA, with a reception following from 6:30pm-8pm in Old Fellowship Hall.  To share a memory, photos or express a condolence to the family please visit Jason’s memorial page at www.avaloncelebrations.com  The Massoni family has entrusted Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Hwy., Southwick, MA with arrangements.
