SOUTHWICK – George Albert Angell, 76, passed away on March 30, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
George was born on February 28, 1946, in Springfield, MA to the late Henry and Wanda Angell. George grew up in Hazardville, CT, and lived his adult life in Southwick, MA
George proudly serviced his country in the US Army. George was a member of the Teamsters and worked for Hoods for 17 years. He was an avid gardener with an admirable green thumb which he worked tirelessly in his yard from dawn to dusk. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and watching old westerns on TV.
In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his son George Angell Jr, his sister Eunice Jardine, and his brother Skip Angell.
He leaves his wife of 52 years Gaye Angell of Southwick, MA, his son Shawn Angell and his wife Dawn of Springfield, MA, a loving legacy of 3 granddaughters: Nadia, Sophia, and Olivia, grandson Ruslan, great-grandchild Willow, his sister-in-law Judith Angell, along with many other family members and friends.
The family will hold a private burial service at Springfield Street Cemetery in Agawam, MA
