Gary was born in Westfield on October 2, 1940, to Harold Preston Fowler and Lena Morrison Fowler.
Gary will be remembered for enjoying his life every day after being retired for 30 years from various jobs as a tool designer. Gary loved to travel and eat good food, laugh and enjoy life. He was into genealogy, and was extremely proud of his Canadian and Scottish ancestry. Gary could make anyone laugh, and was a very caring individual. During his retirement, Gary volunteered his free time to be an Ombudsman and advocate for the elderly in nursing homes. Gary was also a Mason and a member of many local lodges. Gary also attended Mitteneauge United Methodist Church for many years.

His son, Brian Fowler, and his wife, Eileen, his daughters, Susan Fowler, and Beth (Fowler) Newell and her husband, Rich. Gary has six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his oldest grandson Nicholas Cordova, and he is survived by his grandsons, George Cordova, Brendan Fowler, Steven Newell, and Cameron Fowler and his only and favorite granddaughter, Nicole Newell. Gary is also a great grandfather to Tony, Savanna, Kali and Marley Cordova, as well as leaving behind his many cousins nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. Gary’s celebration of life will be private, and of course, filled with good food and laughter.
