SOUTHWICK-Edward C. Johnson, Jr., 58, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at his home in Southwick, MA.  Edward was born on November 16, 1959, in Hartford, CT to Edward C. Johnson, Sr. and Lucille (Moore) Johnson.  He graduated from Southwick High School class of 1977.  Immediately following high school Edward earned his A1 Machining degree from Springfield Technical Community College and had worked at Advanced Manufacturing for many years.  He was an avid coin collector and NASCAR fan.  Edward enjoyed many outdoor activities including gardening, hunting, and his many deep-sea fishing trips with his friends and co-workers at Advanced Manufacturing.  Edward is predeceased by his father Edward C. Johnson, Sr and his brother Matthew Johnson.  He is survived by his mother Lucille Johnson of Chicopee, MA, his sister Lynn Cotugno and her husband Michael of Springfield, MA, his nieces Melissa Wescott and Kerri Wescott and Kerri’s children, Mason and Ari Abelin; and his cat Ty, along with many other family members and friends.  At Edwards request all services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  End of life arrangements entrusted to Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Highway, Southwick, MA 01077.  To express condolences, share photos, or memories please visit Edward’s tribute wall at www.avaloncelebrations.com
