Dorothy Ramey

AGAWAM-Dorothy I. Ramey, 99, passed away on Tuesday, January 24 ,2017 at Heritage Hall East in Agawam, MA.  Dorothy was born on March 08, 1917 in Springfield, MA to Iddo D. and Vera Ramey.  She attended Springfield Public Schools and worked for many years as a secretary at Cigna.  Many will remember Ms. Ramey as a past officer of National Secretaries Association, and the Springfield chapter of Eastern Star.  She was also a member of Rebekahs Odd Fellows and Daughters of the Nile.  In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and reading.  Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Robert H. Ramey and his wife Robina and H. Donald Ramey and his wife Barbara and her nephew Paul Ramey.  She leaves her nieces: Phyllis Blaisdell and her husband Phillip of Agawam, MA, Lois Senecal and her husband Raymond of Greenland, NH and Eleanor Dzierzak and her husband Raymond of Danvers, MA, her nephew Bruce Ramey and his wife Sheryl of Southwick, MA, many great nieces and nephews, many great-great nieces and nephews along many other friends.
