WESTFIELD – Doris “Dear” H. Krzykowski, 80, passed away at her home in Westfield, MA on Sunday, July 9, 2023, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Dear was born on October 17, 1942, in Springfield, MA to Kenneth Farquhar and Helen Farquhar (Collins)
Dear had worked as a hairdresser and school bus driver til the mid-1980s. She later worked in transportation construction as a dump truck driver. Dear was one of the first women dump truck drivers for Ron Cari in East Granby, CT. She often talked about all the good times at work and how she and her coworkers were like family.
She enjoyed lots of activities in her spare time. Working in her flower gardens, going to tag sales, shopping, camping, and dancing were a few of her favorites. Most of all Dear enjoyed family vacations and cookouts. Spending winters in New Hampshire snowmobiling with the family will bring many years of fond memories for Doris’s family.
Dear is survived by her sons John Krzykowski of Westfield, MA and Kenneth Krzykowski of Agawam, MA, her daughter Kimberly Moses and her life partner Lance Reid of Southwick, MA, her life partner of 37 years David Parker of Westfield, MA, her grandchildren: Brandi Hoover, Christopher Mullins, Joshua Krzykowski, and Jessica Krzykowski, her great-grandson Elijah Hulslander, her sister Barbara Mrosz of NC, along with many other family members and friends.
Dear is predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Helen Farquhar, her grandson Brandon Moses, her sisters Judith Broden (Richard) and Margaret Trassinari, and her brother-in-law Billy Mrosz.
