SPRINGFIELD - Carol Ann Jolicoeur, 82, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center.
Carol was born on December 1, 1941, in Ludlow, MA to the late Joseph Arruda and Ethel May (Gordon) Arruda.
Carol had worked for many years as a secretary at the Wall Street Journal before retiring from Valley Plating Company in Springfield, MA. Carol is a member of Bethany Assembly of God Church in Agawam, MA. She was also a past member of the Springfield City Council and enjoyed volunteering her time to help others.
Carol was a shopper. She was always on the lookout to buy the newest and best products available on the market. She enjoyed being one of the first to buy any new products.
Carol was fully dedicated to any here-and-now project she was working on. All out and all in is how she enjoyed spending her extra time,
Carol enjoyed camping with her family and visiting the beach and ocean with her late husband Bob. Her favorite pastime is playing slots at the casino, an activity she came to enjoy after cruising and visiting Aruba.
Carol is pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Bob Jolicoeur, her daughter Julie Houle, and her stepdaughter-in-law Cathy Jolicoeur.
Survivors include her son Thomas Spaulding and his wife Roberta of Springfield, MA, her step-son Steven Jolicoeur of Monson, MA, her brothers: Bob, Bruce, and Glen Arruda, her sister Joan Arruda, her grandchildren: Steven Spaulding, Christopher Phillips, Arron Phillips, Jacob Houle, Adam Majkowski, and Audreyrose Majkowski, 9 great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a period of visitation from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM with a prayer service at 11: 30 AM on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Hwy, Southwick, MA 01077 Burial will be private.
