​​AGAWAM-Betty Ann Bailey, 86, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.  Betty was born on August 3, 1932, to Mitchell and Mary (Lenzi) Scheftic.  She graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield, MA and had worked as a School Bus Driver for the Agawam School District for many years.  In her spare time, Betty enjoyed visiting casinos indulging her thrill of gambling, vacationing with Larry, and their many daily talks.  Predeceased by her parents Mitchell and Mary Scheftic and her son David C. Bailey, she leaves her daughters: Donna Butman of South Hadley, MA, Diane West and her husband John of South Hadley, MA, and Deborah Martin and her husband Sidney of Agawam, MA, her sister Irene Corbin of St. Petersburgh, FL, her 9 grandchildren: John West, Jr., Michael West, Sean West, Melissa West, Christin Lakota, Keith Lehberger, Kerri Adamczyk (Chris), Alexis Lindman, and Laura Bailey; her 12 great grandchildren, her daughter-in-law Bettie Bailey of Raynham, MA, her boyfriend Laurence (Larry) Barker and his family,  along with many other family members and friends.  The family has entrusted Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Highway, Southwick, MA with end of life arrangements.  To express condolence, share memories, photos, or videos please visit Betty’s tribute wall at www.avaloncelebrations.com
