ARIEL CHRISTINE (MAIELLO) SOLEK

Ariel Maiello Solek passed away suddenly on the morning of May 18, 2021.

Ariel was born in New York on April 20, 1991.

Ariel was the embodiment of perseverance and passion.  She spent much of her young adult life in North Carolina with her mother Bonnie Roefs and her sisters Chelsea and Jessica, with whom she remained close throughout her life. 

Ariel graduated from Lake Norman High School in 2009. 

Fate struck two beautiful souls in 2014 when Ariel met the love of her life, Rich Solek.  True to her fearless nature, Ariel relocated to Southwick, MA in 2015 with her husband-to-be in search of a new adventure.  After they married in a picturesque backyard ceremony in 2018, they welcomed their son Mason in August 2019.  Ariel embraced motherhood with her whole heart and rose to the challenge of being a new mother with warmth, grace, and her signature tenacity.

Ariel is survived by her loving husband and adoring son as well as her mother, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews, and countless friends. 

Ariel’s bravery, strength, and loving spirit have touched the lives of so many.  Ariel was the sunflower in everyone’s garden and she will be deeply missed.  Rest in Peace our courageous angel, we love you forever. 

Planned services will be private.  Avalon Funeral & Cremation Services, 691 College Hwy, Southwick, MA is assisting the family.
