Stanley Francis Berdahowski

WESTFIELD-Stanley Francis Berdahowski, 95, a lifelong resident of Westfield, MA passed away at his home on Friday, May 24, 2019.  Stanley was born on May 7, 1924, in Holyoke, MA to Walter and Julia (Pietrowski) Berdahowski. 

Mr. Berdahowski served his country in the United States Army Air Corps.  He earned a Bachelor of Science from UMass Amherst in 1948 and had worked as a Chemical Engineer for Sterling Pharmaceuticals for many years. 

Stanley was a man of few words with a kind and gentle soul. His generosity was admired by those who were close to him. 

All who knew him loved him.  He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Walter J. Berd and his wife Alice.  His legacy and memory will be carried on by his only nephew Thomas A. Berd and his wife Liz of Hubbardston, MA, his nieces Kathy Berd and her husband Ed Wicklander of Seattle, WA and Nancy Freeman and her husband Greame of Honolulu, HI.

The Berdahwoski family has entrusted arrangements to Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Highway, Southwick, MA.  A burial service with full military honors will take place.  The date and time are pending and will be published here soon.
