Robert J. Jolicoeur

WESTFIELD-Robert J. Jolicoeur, 81, passed away June 11, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.  Robert was born on March 22, 1936 in Spencer, MA to the late Amie and Irene Jolicoeur.  He had worked for 25 years as a Maintenance Supervisor for the Hampden County Jail in Ludlow, MA.  Robert was a quiet man with a gentle soul who enjoyed passing his time dreaming of “hitting it big one day” by winning the lottery.  In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping.  He also enjoyed working with his hands, woodworking and was known as a talented carpenter.  In addition to his parents Robert is predeceased by his brother Albert Jolicoeur and his step-daughter Julie Lynn Houle.  He leaves his wife of 44 years Carol Jolicoeur of Westfield, MA, his children, Steven Jolicoeur and his wife Cathy of Monson, MA and Thomas Spaulding and his wife Roberta of Springfield, MA, his sisters, Anette and her husband John and Alice, his grandchildren: Steven Spaulding, Christopher & Aaron Phillips and Jacob Houle, his great-granddaughter, Alena Majkowski along with many other family members and close friends.   Robert’s life will be celebrated on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 10AM-12NOON at Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, 691 College Hwy., Southwick, MA.  A prayer service will be held at 12NOON.  To express a condolence and for additional information please visit Robert’s memorial page at www.avaloncelebrations.com
