Raymond Myette Obituary

SOUTHWICK-Raymond H. Myette (Old Man), 64, passed suddenly on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield, MA.  Raymond was born on January 2, 1954 in Hartford, CT to William and Almaline (Gagnon) Myette.  He attended Wamogo Regional High School in Litchfield, CT and later earned his AutoCAD certification from Porter and Chester Institute. Raymond proudly served his county in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974.  He worked at Arrow Concrete in Granby, CT for over 40 years he had also worked the overnight shift at the Mobile Station in Southwick, MA.   Raymond was only 7 months away from his retirement and was looking forward to spending time fishing, a hobby he had long dreamed of.  He was a past member of the Southwick Parks and Recreation.  Many will remember Raymond for always having a 2-liter Pepsi by his side.  He was a very hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies which he loved to spoil by always buying them the junk food that they weren’t supposed to have.  In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his project Mustang.  He also enjoyed bowling over the past years.  Predeceased by his parents and his sister Beverly, he leaves his wife Darlene Myette of Southwick, MA, his son Devin Myette and his wife Christie of Southwick, MA, his daughters Carrie Massai and her husband Daniel of Westfield, MA and Destiny Myette and her boyfriend Kyle LaPolice of Southwick, MA, his brother William, his sisters: Doris, Ruth, Barbara, and Dale, his grandbabies: Kambria and Gianna Massai, and Madison Myette along with many other extended family members and friends. Much too many to name but you know who you are.  Family and friends are invited to gather for a period of visitation from 12NOON-2PM on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Highway, Southwick, MA.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.   In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org) To express condolences, share memories or photos please visit Raymond’s memorial page at www.avaloncelebrations.com
