Patricia Alice (Drew) Wright

AGAWAM-Patricia A. Wright, 73, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.

Patricia was born on February 25, 1946, in Springfield, MA to Frederick A. Drew and Mary F. (Freeman) Drew.  She grew up on her father’s farm, Fred Drew Plant Farm, it was there where her life-long love affair with Strawberries began.  She graduated from Agawam High School, Class of 1964. Patricia continued her education at Springfield Technical Community College where she earned an Associate Degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  

Her passion, her hobbies, and her greatest achievements all centered around a common denominator, her family.  She was active in her children's PTO functions, she was the ultimate “Soccer Mom”, and dedicated nonwavering support to all of her children’s activities.  She was an amazing cook and prepared homemade meals 7 nights a week for her family.  Being a stay at home mom was a badge Patricia wore proudly.  Family always came first, it was her most valuable asset. Fondly known as “MeMa”, Patricia dedicated many years of her life taking care of her beautiful grandchildren Kaitlyn, Amber, and David before they entered Pre-School. 

Patricia is predeceased by her parents Frederick and Mary Drew, one of her best friends Diane M. Scaggs, and her precious puppies Muffin and Oliver.

Those left to honor her legacy are her children: Colleen Forest and her husband Michael of Westfield, MA, Michael Wright of Agawam, MA and Kellie Lambert and her husband Bill of Springfield, MA, her grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Amber, and David Forest, her best friends Donna Modzelewski, Rich Morassi, and William Quinn, along with other family members and friends.

Family and friends may gather for a Memorial Mass at 3 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Our Lady of the Cross Parish, Holy Cross Avenue, Holyoke, MA 01040.
