SOUTH HADLEY-We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Margery Ann Wilson Page of South Hadley, Massachusetts, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Willimansett East with her loving family by her side.
Margery was the daughter of the late John H. Wilson, and Mary Hilda Callahan Wilson. Her early education began in South Hadley at the Center School. She went on to further her education at the Academy of the Assumption in Newton Center, MA. She returned home to graduate from South Hadley High School. Margery then moved to Boston MA. and attended Katherine Gibbs Business School. She went on to work in various law offices and businesses in the Holyoke area as a private secretary and loved to work a busy switchboard as a telephone operator. She also had earned a Real Estate License to practice in MA. and NJ.
As a young girl, Margery had a talent for playing the piano and accordion. She loved all things beautiful which included flower gardens which she had a knack of creating, fine food cooked by her husband, interior decorating, shopping for lovely clothing, and she loved babies. A favorite thing for her to do was to take a day trip to the ocean.
She leaves her beloved husband of forty seven years, Kenneth Page, her daughter Candace Wolkovitz (Steven) of Holmdel, NJ. son Bruce Curran (Cheryl) of Blacksburg, VA. Grandchildren, Brooke Alison Paige, Kara and Robyn Wolkovitz, Patrick Curran (Sarah) and Ryan Curran. Great grandchildren, Omei Lily Marshall, Norah, Nolan, and Maxwell Curran, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters Joan Marulli, and Cynthia Mroczek.
Margery’s family will receive friends at the Avalon Life Celebration Center, 691 College Hwy, Southwick MA. on Friday, April 12th 2019 from 11:30-1:30pm. Interment will be at 2pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Margery’s name to one of our local animal shelters.
