David Harold Bailey

OETTINGEN IN BAYERN, GERMANY-David H. Bailey, 59, passed away April 28, 2018 at his home in Oettingen In Bayern, Germany.  David was born on January 24, 1959 in Mount Holly, New Jersey to Robert J. and Eleanor (Hubbard) Bailey.  David attended Suffield, CT Schools.  He was the lead guitarist in the local band Intrepid.  A naturist at heart, David grew up spending time at the Jersey Shore and enjoyed taking hikes with his family.  He also enjoyed following his favorite bands, often attending many amazing concerts.  He was a talented songwriter and musician.  David and his wife Mirela have lived in Germany for the past year where he opened his own company making electric guitar amps and effects pedals, shipping many to the United States.  Although David was thousands of miles away from his family, he kept their memory alive by always talking about them to his wife and step-son.  Predeceased by his father, he leaves his wife Mirela of Romania, his mother Eleanor Bailey of Southwick, MA, his sister Andrea Storrs and her husband Daniel of Southwick, MA, his step-son Razvan of Romania, his nephew Nicholas Campagna of Southwick, MA, along with many other family members and close friends.  A visitation will be held from 10:30AM to 12:30PM on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Highway, Southwick, MA.  Burial and graveside services will be held at 1:00PM at New Southwick Cemetery, Southwick, MA.  To express condolences, share memories, and photos please visit David’s memorial page at www.avaloncelebrations.com
