Clifford F. Paige, Jr.

WESTFIELD-Clifford F. Paige, Jr., 80, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Governor’s Center in Westfield, MA.  Clifford was born on February 9, 1938, in Gardner, MA to Clifford F. Paige, Sr. and Yvonne (Borey) Paige.  At a young age, Clifford discovered his passion for dancing and won a dance marathon in the 1950’s.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  Clifford also enjoyed the rodeo.  He is a member of the Canton Rodeo Hall of Fame for winning purses.  He later mastered the art of being a rodeo clown, which he enjoyed for many years.  He was known as Spankey the Rodeo Clown. From 1984-1999 he worked as a custodian for the Town of Southwick School System.   In his spare time, he enjoyed antiquing, fishing, was an avid model car collector, and had an extensive record collection from the 1950’s  Clifford is predeceased by his parents and his son William “Billy” Paige.  He leaves his wife Sondra (Erickson) Paige of Westfield, MA, his son Clifford F. Paige III and his wife Mary of Rowe, MA, his daughter Cletta May Paige of Athol, MA, his step-daughter Julieanne Sponberg of Westfield, MA, his sister Lillian, his grandchildren: Eric, Joshua, Sarah, Issac, Gianna, Nathan, Johnny, Crystal, Geneva,  and David, 2 great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 2:00-4:00PM at Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Highway, Southwick, MA 01077
